Deer Creek Valley Ranch Wedding Venue | Colorado Wedding Photographer
I want to start out by saying that I am a lucky man. When I think of Sara and Earl, that reminds me of that. I first met Sara and Earl through a consultation for their wedding/engagement. Didn’t take long before we realized we were a match. They already had booked their venue at The Barn at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. I have photographed weddings there before and was looking forward to work with their great staff. We also bought a home out by there recently, so was really excited to work with my neighbor venue! I met them first at their engagement session in the foothills of Colorado. They were just as kind in person as they were online and fun to work with.
Moving forward to their wedding, it was a gorgeous October day. It almost didn’t look like it was going to be though. Like Colorado does, dark clouds hovered over the mountain view through out the day. The radar indicated that there was a good chance of storms for their scheduled outdoor ceremony. The planner, Sara, and Earl all discussed there options and decided to set up the indoor location to be on the safe side. You could see the disappointment in Sara and Earls eyes. Their vision of an outdoor ceremony with a beautiful mountain backdrop was in jeopardy. When we were about an hour away from the ceremony, the sky seemed to be clearing up. We talked and decided to see if we could give it a try and re-set up the original outdoor location for the ceremony. It was a tight window, but they decided to give it a go! I was really impressed with all the people involved and the staff at Deer Creek Valley Ranch. They all came together and hustle as one unit and made Sara and Earls vision come true. Sure enough, the weather and ceremony was epic. The celebration really hit the floor running from that point on. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. Another great memory in the books.
